Courses

Introduction to Rock Climbing, Outdoor ($100): Introduction to Rock Climbing offers the first-time or beginner climber the opportunity to learn about climbing in a safe, fun environment. All necessary equipment is provided. We cover the basics of rock climbing: gear use, belaying, rappelling, and climbing technique.

Top Rope Anchors ($150): This 2-day anchors course teaches the skills necessary to begin top rope climbing on your own. Traditional Lead Climbing: ($180) The Traditional Lead Climbing course is a 2-day offering that teaches the fundamental skills to successfully lead traditionally-protected rock climbs. The first day will be a review of sound gear placement, the foundation for leading “trad” climbs. The second day will focus on the mechanics of lead climbing–belaying, when to place gear, slinging gear, building anchors–and will provide ample opportunities to practice skills in mock-lead scenarios.
