First Timer FAQs
Do you offer beginner classes?
Yes, but we suggest you come in first to check it out. Our staff is more than willing to give you pointers, and helpful hints. After a time or two in the gym, inquire with the desk staff about class offerings or one on one training. We can accommodate any age and fitness level. Our goal is to help you become a confident climber.
Do I need special gear to climb at your gym?
Not really. A pair of tennis shoes (no open toed shoes or crocs) and some comfortable attire is all you need. We rent climbing shoes, but these aren’t necessary for your first time.
What type of climbing do you offer?
We are first a bouldering gym. Bouldering is a style of climbing that does not require the use of ropes. The “boulders” range in height from 12′-17′ with 10 in foam padding to make for a nice, safe fall. We do have a roped climbing section with 6 ropes ascending the 18′ wall that is specifically structured for children.
Is your gym kid friendly?
Absolutely. Kids LOVE to come to our gym and climb the walls. Our staff will show them around explaining the different challenges. We also offer KIDS BELAY on Saturdays and Sundays 10AM-2PM. Parents just need to sit and enjoy watching their children climb the wall. If parents want to become more involved we offer a belay course to teach you how to handle the ropes safely at the gym or one of the many outdoor areas in our region.
Is it necessary to have a membership to climb there?
No. Day passes are available for $12-$15. The day pass is for the entire day so if you want to step out for lunch then come back, that is no problem.
