What: Our summer tournament series with three events. Climb in any one comp or compete in all three. Mens & women’s categories Beginner through Open. Kids categories too!

Where: First Avenue Rocks.

When:
July 10th at 7PM
July 31st at 7PM
August 21st at 10AM
Registration starts 1 hour prior to each comp.

Why: Get in on CASH and sick prizes from Five Ten, Asana, SoIll, Metolius, Voodoo, and many more.

How much: $20 or $45 for the series pass. Spectators are free.

Climbing Camps Start June 14th!

First Avenue Rocks summer camps are two hours long and run Monday through Friday every other week. Climbing camps will familiarize kids with the tenants of rock climbing including technique, body movement, equipment use & care, termonology, and goal setting. We cap our classes at ten climbers in order to better focus on the kids as individuals. Even if your child has never climbed before we can have them climbing in minutes and teach them skills that they can use in all aspects of life.

The temps are climbing and route season is here. We have reset the barrel wall with lots of big holds and big moves to get you into proper route shape.

New climbs are up on the roof boulder just in time for all of this rain.

Renew your Ambassador Status @ the Sand Rock Hoe-Down Clean-up Saturday March 20th

First Ave Rocks will be attending the Sand rock Hoe-Down Clean-Up day Saturday, March 20th. Help do your part to make the south a bit less dirty.

This will be a chance for all First Ave Ambassadors to begin renewing their status or for new members to get their Ambassador status. Just like last year you MUST attend AT LEAST two trail days per year to qualify for the discounts @ HP 40. Be sure to sign in at our tent prior to collecting trash. Also be sure to wear your FAR shirt and represent!

Lunch served at 12:00 (free for all volunteers). Huge raffle after lunch and snacks, drinks, lunch and mini-prizes to all volunteers.

All proceeds go to help Sand Rock and local climbing access issues.
