Renew your Ambassador Status @ the Sand Rock Hoe-Down Clean-up Saturday March 20th
Monday, March 15th, 2010First Ave Rocks will be attending the Sand rock Hoe-Down Clean-Up day Saturday, March 20th. Help do your part to make the south a bit less dirty.
This will be a chance for all First Ave Ambassadors to begin renewing their status or for new members to get their Ambassador status. Just like last year you MUST attend AT LEAST two trail days per year to qualify for the discounts @ HP 40. Be sure to sign in at our tent prior to collecting trash. Also be sure to wear your FAR shirt and represent!
Lunch served at 12:00 (free for all volunteers). Huge raffle after lunch and snacks, drinks, lunch and mini-prizes to all volunteers.
All proceeds go to help Sand Rock and local climbing access issues.

Friday, February 19th, 2010First Avenue Rocks kids classes start March 23rd – April 13th. This class is for kids age 8-13. Class will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5pm and is just 80$ per child. We keep our groups small so your child receives the attention they need. January 23rd Moss Rock Trail Day and Climbing Comp
Monday, January 4th, 2010Moss Rock Preserve needs your help! It has been an entire year since the last climber organized clean up and its time we get to it! The clean up/trail day will start at 8:30am and last until we are done (in the past it has only taken a few hours). The City of Hoover will provide materials & the Southeastern Climbers Coalition will provide lunch!

First Avenue Rocks presents the first competition in our 2010 series. This will be a red point format bouldering competition with beginner, intermediate, advanced and open categories. Registration is 20$ for members 25$ for non-members. Participants will receive a shirt. Climbing starts at 4pm.
